Username Based Accounts Handover Notes

Overview: Students can now be created in Nova and by providers with a username, in place of a name and email. The original intent of this feature is for students who do not have access to a personal email address, or for students who don’t wish to have personal information shared within our platform. 

Username based students will:

• Have no email address associated with their account
  • So will not receive any emails
• Have no First name or Last name  
  • First name will be substituted with their username where it appears in tables
• Not be able to request a reset password
  • The user will have to contact their training provider for a password change
  • The OM will be able to change a UBA User's password
• Usernames can not be in the form of an email, and validation has been added to enforce this

NB: It is not currently possible for students outside of an organisation to register with a Username Based account

On the provider platform:

• There is a checkbox for creating students that introduces a username field in place of email and name
• In reports, relevant name and email fields will have the username display for username account users
